What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a holistic approach to health and wellness, designed to support the healing of the body, mind and spirit. It combines modern science with age old wisdom to treat the whole person and the root cause of the issue, not just the symptoms that develop. Basically put, naturopathy involves functional testing, herbal medicine, nutritional medicine and lifestyle adjustments.

Should I see a Naturopath?

Are you willing to put in the work to gain optimal health? If so, then yes!
It isn’t always a walk in the park when you embark on your health journey, sometimes you’ve got to take some less-than-delicious liquid herbs, sometimes we’ve got to change up your diet in a big way, and sometimes you’ve got to make some important lifestyle changes.
But if you’re committed to take this on, then so am I! I will be there to support you 100% of the way and when you look back, you will be SO glad you took this step. Click here to see the common conditions we treat.

What natural remedies do you use?

Emalyse? I've never heard that name before!

Pronounced Emma-Leese. You know, I’m not surprised because my mum and dad actually made it up themselves! My dad loved the name Emma and my mum was taken with the name Alyse, so they smooshed the names together and the rest is history. Who would have thought?!

Consultations

What happens in a consultation?

Your first appointment will be in a relaxed and welcoming non-judgement zone. It will take approximately 60-75 minutes, and involve an in-depth conversation about your health goals, previous health history, family history, diet and lifestyle. I will show you how our biochemistry can change how we think and feel and explain how we can fix it. I will do some in house testing and get you started on a personalised treatment plan to give you symptomatic relief, but also work on the core issues underneath so that we can treat the cause for a sustainable long term solution.
After the consultation, I will make up your personalised Herbal Tonic and Nutritional Compound and give you a copy of your health plan which includes diet and lifestyle recommendations. More details can be found here, please do not hesitate to email me if you have any specific questions regarding the consultation process.
